Hello, today I'm gonna write a review about Modern Warfare 3 Vs Battlefield 3.
As we know Activision last year just released their new game "Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3" on November 8th, 2011. This Infinity wards' game have already been sold up to 6.5 million copies in the America and England. They also grossed $400 million in selling.
However, EA has already released their game "Battlefield 3" one month before on 25 October 2011 and sold 5 million copies in its first week of release. This DICE's game also received positive reviews from the most game viewer.
These modern warfare and battlefield have a history of competition namely Battlefield Bad Company with Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare and Battlefield Bad Company 2 with Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2. Their fans always argue in either social network and forums to prove their game are the best.
I will divide the scoring into 4 different aspects
Graphics
Battlefield 3 : 9.8
Modern Warfare 3 : 8.4
Battlefield 3 is far more superior in terms of graphics, their brand new "Frostbite 2" game engine gives an ultimate experience in graphics. Their stunning photorealistic graphics and excellent game environment such as destructive environment makes this game becoming a phenomena in terms of graphic.

While Modern Warfare 3 are still using the old IW Game Engine with a slight of graphics improvement so the graphics are quite lame (however it stills good). Compared to Battlefield 3, the graphics of Modern Warfare 3 are a completely inferior.

Gameplay
Battlefield 3 : 9.4
Modern Warfare 3 : 9.6
In terms of gameplay, Battlefield 3 has expanded the feel of first person shooter into a new level. Players can now fully used every attachment of their weapon including bipods (provide a significant boost to accuracy and recoil reduction), flashlights, and lasers. Suppressive fire from the weapons blurs the vision and reduces the accuracy of those who under fire, as well as health regeneration. They also introduced new weapons. Players can also fully operate their character like punching, kicking, etc with action buttons. The player's character can also move flexibly (like realistic jump, realistic prone, etc). They also add "legs" in the first person view so the game give a realistic first person view (rather than giving "floating" feeling to the player).

Although Modern Warfare series were known for their best gameplay and storyline, Battlefield 3 just make a better one in terms of gameplay. However, Modern Warfare 3 improve their gameplay into a better one too. They introduce new weapons including dog bombs, sentry guns, hybrid sights, and put advanced cinematic scenes, bringing an action movie right into a game. So even Battlefield 3 bring the game on entirely a new level, Modern Warfare 3's gameplay is still the best (although it is just a slight gap between the two games).

Multiplayer

Modern Warfare 3 : 7.6
Battlefield series are always beat Call of duty in terms of multiplayer. And Battlefield 3 just add their combo winning streak in terms of multiplayer. their class method is always effective to create an ultimate teamwork experience (Teamwork is essential in multiplayer) rather than "one man show"
as usually shown in many first person shooter game. Several game modes are present, including Conquest, Rush, Squad Deathmatch, Squad Rush and Team Deathmatch. However, the PC version of the game doesn't have multiplayer in their menu and have to be launched from Battlelog. Overall, the multiplayer are excellent (although there are few glitches and latency issues).

To be honest , Modern Warfare is always disappointing at multiplayer and Modern Warfare 3 just add the disappointment in terms of multiplayer. However, they replace the whole ranking and unlocks system, which does not use a currency system for unlocks. The player's primary weapon levels up alongside the player him/herself, and unlocks "Proficiency" perks such as Attachments, (allows two attachments and is a successor to the "Bling" and "Warlord" perks), Kick (reduced the recoil while aiming down the player's sight) and Focus (reduced flinching effect while taking fire).

Storyline

Battlefield series are always bad on the story (Except the bad company, because of their humor and hilarious story) and Battlefield 3 just make it even worse. a CIA agent planning a revenge on many nations and working with local militia while being hunted by GRU agents aren't make any senses. And GRU agents shooting and killing the French polices (including GIGN) in order to catch a criminal in front of public will only trigger a war between France and Russia (which it extremely doesn't even make any senses). Also, there is now way that a local militia could easily smuggled a nuclear weapon in a big city in America even with a CIA agent help (USA borders are strictly guarded and CIA agents aren't go revealing their identity except for important situations). However, they are still credited in their accuracy on the story (such as the name of the battalion locations, and weapons).

Modern Warfare never disappoint their fans in terms of storyline, they give realistic but fantastic stories of a Russian ultranasionalist planing to rebuild the Soviet which caused a third world war between Russia (now known as the new Soviet) and the AN (Germany, Frace, USA, UK, etc). And an ultra elite task force was tasked to stop him. However, their commander betrayed them and they became fugitives (which is ironic because the task force also fighting for him). Modern Warfare 3 put the player even more exciting stories. However, the death of the most famous protagonist "Captain Soap Mctavish" put the fans into a great sadness and disappointment. However it gives a great motto "Heroes can also die" and break apart the traditional stories of "Happy ending to the protagonists" which is expand our fantasy and our feelings to the character.

Both of games have their own advantages and weakness, and the conclusion is.......
The results are a DRAW. Both games are fantastic in both ways, and I can't determine the winner. both DICE and Infinity wards have done a wonderful job creating these games. Lets just hope that both of them created more better games in the future.
